Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. The Personal Data that you provide directly to us through our Sites and Services will be apparent from the context in which you provide the data. In particular:
When you register for an Aligner Global Community account, we collect your full name, email address, GDC number/country equivalent and account log-in credentials.
When you use the “Remember Me” feature of Stripe Checkout through our Stripe payment gateway integration, Stripe collects your email address, payment card number, CVC code and expiration date. These are stored and processed in accordance with PCI DSS and are fully compliant.
As an Aligner Global Community User, when you make payments or conduct transactions, we will receive your transaction information. The information that we collect will include payment method information (such as credit or debit card number, or bank account information), purchase amount, date of purchase, and payment method. Different payment methods may require the collection of different categories of information.
When our payments processor, Stripe, conducts fraud monitoring, prevention, detection, and financial compliance activities or provide such services to our Users, they will receive Personal Data from you (and your device) and about you through their Service and from their business partners, financial service providers, identity verification services, and publicly available sources (e.g., name, address, phone number, country), as necessary to confirm your identity and prevent fraud. Their fraud monitoring, detection and prevention services may collect Personal Data about you and use technology to help them assess the risk associated with an attempted transaction by you.
Browser and device data, such as IP address, device type, operating system and Internet browser type, screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, plug-ins, add-ons and the language version of the Sites you are visiting;
Usage data, such as time spent on the Sites, pages visited, links clicked, language preferences, and the pages that led or referred you to our Sites.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the UK or Switzerland, we comply with applicable laws to provide an adequate level of data protection for the transfer of your Personal Data to the US. Stripe Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles in connection with personal data transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Where applicable law requires us to ensure that an international data transfer is governed by a data transfer mechanism, we use one or more of the following mechanisms: EU Standard Contractual Clauses with a data recipient outside the EEA or the UK, verification that the recipient has implemented Binding Corporate Rules, or verification that the recipient adheres to the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework.
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and we request that they not provide Personal Data through the Services.
The Services may provide the ability to connect to other websites. These websites may operate independently from us and may have their own privacy notices or policies, which we strongly suggest you review. If any linked website is not owned or controlled by us, we are not responsible for its content, any use of the website or the privacy practices of the operator of the website.

The entity responsible for the collection and processing of Personal Data for residents of the EEA, the UK and Switzerland is Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., a company incorporated in Ireland and with offices at 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin. If you are a resident of the EEA and believe we process your information in scope of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may direct your questions or complaints to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. Mexican residents. Mexican residents may exercise data protection rights to access, correction, deletion, opposition or revocation under applicable law. If you are a Mexican resident and a Customer of a Stripe User, please direct your requests directly to the Stripe User with whom you shared your personal information.
This section provides additional details about the personal information we collect about California consumers as well as the rights of California consumers under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Exercising the right to know. You may request, up to twice in a 12-month period, the following information about the personal information we have collected about you during the past 12 months:
the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you; the categories of sources from which we collected the personal information; the business or commercial purpose for which we collected the personal information; the categories of third parties with whom we shared the personal information; and the categories of personal information about you that we disclosed for a business purpose, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed that information for a business purpose.
Exercising the right to delete. You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain limitations under applicable law. Exercising the right to opt-out from a sale. You may request to opt out of any “sale” of your personal information that may take place. As described in Advertising, we do not use, share, rent or sell the Personal Data of our Users’ Customers for interest-based advertising. We do not sell or rent the Personal Data of our Users, their Customers or our Site visitors.
Non-discrimination. The CCPA provides that you may not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request, such as verifying that the email address from which you send the request matches your email address that we have on file. Authentication based on a government-issued and valid identification document may be required.
If Aligner Consulting, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Aligner Consulting goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Aligner Consulting may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

It is always a User’s choice whether or not to provide Personal Information. However, if a User chooses not to provide requested Personal Information, that User will not be able to use certain features of the Services. We set out in detail below the information that we collect about Users and Users’ use of our Services. Aligner Consulting does not intentionally collect things like protected health information, financial information, date of birth, social security or other government-issued identification number, and other sensitive personal information from Users.
Personal data, or personal information, means any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified. It does not include data which cannot be related to an identifiable person (anonymous data).
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal information about Users which we have grouped together follows:
Identity Data includes first name, last name or similar identifier.
Contact Data includes email address and telephone numbers.
Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system and platform.
Usage Data includes information about how Users use our Services, such as browsing actions within the portal, the buttons, controls, Users click on, pages of our portal that Users visit, the time spent on those pages, User’s search queries, the dates and times of User’s visits, and workplace usage.
We also collect, use and share Non-personalized data called “Service Data” such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Service Data may be derived from User’s personal information but is not considered personal information in law as this information does not directly or indirectly reveal User’s identity. For example, we may aggregate User’s Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Website feature.
We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about Users (this includes details about User’s race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about User’s health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
We use different methods to collect data from and about Users including through:
Direct interactions. Users may give us User’s Identity, Contact and Profile Data by registering for the Service and completing fields within the Service

Upon request, Aligner Consulting will provide Users with information about whether we hold any of User’s Personal Information. Aligner Consulting enables customers and website visitors with the ability to access and correct Personal Information we have collected. If Users have any concerns or suspect unauthorized activities associated with User’s account, please contact us at email@example.com. We will respond to User’s request within a reasonable timeframe, and in any event within 30 days of receipt of request. Aligner Consulting acknowledges that Users have the right to access, update, revoke permission to process, or request the deletion of User’s Personal Information. If requested to remove data under either scenario, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
The security of User’s Personal Information is important to us. We use security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to ensure that User’s Personal Information is stored and maintained in a secure environment. Aligner Consulting exercises managerial and technical safeguards designed to protect against the loss or unauthorized use or disclosure of Personal Information belonging to our customers and website visitors. These safeguards include encryption, malware protection, logical and physical access controls, and detection of social engineering attacks.
As Users navigate through and interact with our Website and Services, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about User’s equipment, browsing actions and patterns, location, and workplace usage patterns, including:

Our App collects real-time information about the location of User’s device. We and our third-party service providers may collect information about Use in a variety of ways. We and/or our third-party partners may employ various tracking technologies, such as cookies, web beacons and analytics software, that help us better manage content on our Service by informing us what content is effective.
Functional cookies, persistent and session type, store information to enable core site functionality.
Analytics cookies allow us to count page visits and traffic sources, so we can measure and improve the performance of our site and our marketing campaigns.
We (or third-party data or ad networks we work with) may use Web Beacons alone or in conjunction with cookies to compile information about our Service, or other information we or they have collected. Web Beacons are tiny graphic objects that are embedded in a web page or email and are usually invisible to the user but allow checking that a user has viewed the page or email. Web Beacons may be used within the Service to track email open rates, web page visits or form submissions. In some cases, we tie the information gathered by Web Beacons to our Users’ Personal Information. For example, we use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
We use Local Shared Objects, such as Flash cookies, AND/OR Local Storage, such as HTML5, to store content information and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our website upon User’s web browsing activity also use Flash cookies or HTML5 to collect and store information. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5.
At this time, we do not respond to browser ‘do not track’ signals.
For example, regarding normal business operations, Aligner Consulting may engage a third-party to support our billing, support services, information technology, or mailings on our behalf.
We may also disclose User’s Personal Information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or other legal process, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect User’s safety, or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
Aligner Consulting will keep User’s Personal Information for as long as it remains necessary for the identified purposes as required by law, which may extend beyond the termination of our relationship with User. Users acknowledge and agree that if User request that User’s name be removed from our databases, it may not be possible to completely delete all User’s Personal Information due to legal constraints.
For any community, the default post and file retention setting is to keep everything for as long as the community exists.
When users or moderators edit or delete a message, only the most recent version will remain.
Aligner Consulting generally processes Personal Information in order to fulfill contracts we have with our customers and end users and to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Otherwise, Aligner Consulting will obtain consent from an individual with respect to the processing of Personal Information if required by law to do so.
Further, individuals located in the EU have certain rights under European law (including under the General Data Protection Regulation) with respect to Personal Information, including the right to request access to, obtain, correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of User’s personal data. Individual end users, customers or prospective customers located in the EU who wish to exercise these rights, should contact Aligner Consulting using the contact information below in Section 16. If we are processing User’s information on behalf of a third party then User should contact that party directly because Aligner Consulting serves as a data processor on behalf of third party in that instance and can only forward User’s request to the buyer to allow them to respond. Individuals also have the right to make complaints to regulatory authorities in respect of our privacy practices.
